Actor/Musician, Marcelino Feliciano

Marcelino Feliciano is a professional jazz vocalist, musician and actor.

Of Puerto Rican heritage his interest in music and theatre began at an early age when he was asked to perform as part of a children’s Bomba y Plena ensemble; two distinct forms of music and dance that reflect the Afro-Caribbean heritage of Puerto Rico. He later began his musical studies at Montclair State University and learned his acting craft at New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts. He is currently a member of the Two River Theater Company Local Artist Network where he completed a production of Much Ado About Nothing (u/s Don Pedro), and A Thousand Clowns (u/s Albert). He was also a part of Theatre 167 original work, Jackson Heights 3AM (Emeterio).Other productions include the Nutley Little Theater production of Take Me Out (Rodriguez), and Hackensack New Theater production of Anna In The Tropics (Juan Julian). As a singer and musician he has performed with the likes of Santi Debriano, Ray Vega, Harvie S., Sheila Jordan, his mentor Mark Murphy and legendary bassist Reggie Workman, with whom he performed at Lincoln Center. He can be seen performing with Diane Moser’s Composers Big Band and tours abroad with Germany’s NDR Orchestra and George Grunts’ Big Band. Marcelino is an Equity Candidate Member, as well as a member of SESAC. This is Marcelino’s second collaboration with director Ari Laura Kreith and first with NICODA.
